Opening Weekend of Lights - Friday & Saturday, November 16-17
- Friday, November 16th LIGHTS on for the first time @ 6pm
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm Friday and Saturday
- Pet photos at Sophie's Dog Bakery on Saturday, November 17th from 10am-12Noon
Parade and Small Business Saturday - Friday & Saturday, November 23-24
- SANTA CHRISTMAS PARADE starts at 6:00pm on Main Street in Hayward Friday, Nov. 23
- Santa Arrives in Hayward at 12Noon at the Hayward Information Center on Friday, Nov. 23
- Santa Visits with children from 12Noon to 3pm at Hayward Information Center, Friday, Nov. 23
- Official Grand Lighting at 6:00pm on Friday, Nov 23
- Salvation Army "SOUP'R Supper" on 2nd Street; come down and enjoy a cup of soup and enjoy the lights, Friday, Nov 23
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm Friday and Saturday
- Business Window Decorating Contest begins
Friday & Saturday, November 29 - December 1
- Greeting Card Display and Contest Friday and Saturday night
- Cantata performance Thursday @ 7pm, Friday @ 7pm & Sunday @ 2pm at Hayward High School
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm Friday and Saturday
- Tractor Parade on Saturday, December 1st @ 5:45pm on Main Street

- Festival of Trees @ Flat Creek Eatery, Thursday, December 6th
- Gingerbread House Contest entry form available @ Hayward Mercantile
- Caroling Sing-Off Friday and Saturday night
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm Friday and Saturday
- Santa Visits Hayward throughout the weekend
- Michelle Crafts on Main Street will have Ornament decorating classes ($5) for kids Sat. Dec. 8th 715-699-1569 to sign up.

- Hot Chocolate Crawl, Friday night at Participating Businesses
- Snow Shovel Drill Team Exhibition - Saturday night
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm Friday and Saturday
- Snow Shovel Decorating Contest Judging, Friday night 5:45 on Second Street
- Awards Night on Saturday night - Winners of A "Lure" of Lights Contests announced and presented at 6 PM in front of Angler's Bar & Grill
- Kids Shopping - Stores Offer Special Shopping (10 and under to buy gifts for their special someone)
- Hayward Area self-guided "Tour of Lights" of residential homes lighted for the holidays
- Marketplace Foods Cookie Walk Friday, December 14th

Friday & Saturday, December 21-22
- Men's Shopping Night, Friday
- Salvation Army Tin Cup Soup & Bread Lunch, Friday, Dec. 21st - 11am-1:30pm at participating downtown businesses - SHOP, VISIT, ENJOY - $10 per tin cup; free refills. Soups located at Michelle's Craft, JC Moon, Outdoor Ventures, Sophies Dog Bakery & Spendid Things, and Legends of the Celts. Bread presented by Northern Lakes Cooperative IGA grocery store.
- Kid's Shopping Day, Friday & Saturday

- Hayward Alumni Hockey Game and Family Night, Friday night "Fun for everyone!"

- SKATE WITH SANTA @ Hayward Sports Center; Free to the Public (skates available) - Sunday, December 23rd at 2pm
- FREE Magic Show at Veteran's Center @ 9:30am on Monday, 24th presented by Hayward Community Credit Union
- Last Minute retail specials for that perfect gift
- Sawyer County Fairgrounds Winter Wonderland - 1pm to 9pm: Sledding, Ice Skating, Bon Fires; $4 per person; Fairgrounds located 2 miles east of Hayward on County Road B.
- Hayward Area self-guided "Tour of Lights" of residential homes lighted for the holidays
Friday & Saturday, December 28-31
- Grand Finale - Final show of Lights
- Dec. 23- Jan 1. - A "Lure" of Lights lights on daily
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm, Friday, Dec 28th & Saturday, Dec 29th
- Torch Light Snowmobile Parade, Saturday, December 29th - (CANCELLED FOR 2012)
- Hayward Area self-guided "Tour of Lights" of residential homes lighted for the holidays
Activities & Community
- On Going Activites: Carolers, Hot chocolate, Window Display Contests, Snow Shovel Decorating
- Friday and Saturdays community and church groups handing out Hot Chocolate for free will donations.
- Dancing Lights at Shue's Pond on Kansas Ave. @ 6:15pm and 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights
- Hot Chocolate offered for free will donations, 100% goes to the hosting group or organization.
